tuner studio and windows 10
Hi all,
I have been trying to load tuner studio 2.6.19 onto my laptop running windows 10 but it keeps saying that the file is corrupt, did anyone ever experience this before, how did you overcome it.

Re: tuner studio and windows 10
I sorted out my problem. I didn't have Java runtime environment ( JRE ) installed.

Re: tuner studio and windows 10
Finally got tunerstudio on my laptop. Seems like chrome doesn't use java plugin, windows edge also doesn't use plugins. To solve my problem i had to use mozilla firefox. Long live the fox.

Tunerstudio doesn't run in a browser or use browser plugins...Why does it matter?
(for online help?)
You just need to install the 32bit JRE, and maybe the 64 bit one too.(both, usually)
There is no need to enable the java plugin in the browser...
....it is generally considered a security risk on almost the ~same order as Flash...
Note: javascript has absolutely nothing to do with Java.
You usually need to be able to enable javascript these days to do much.
APB and a carefully selected whitelist are the only way to go.
Note2: not saying anything bad about FF, I use it regularly due to adblockplus/greasemonkey etc, browsing with anything else is a huge drag due to constant annoying ads/popups etc.

Funny... I used to use FF exclusively but sort of got tired of the speed and so much bloat, and went to Chrome....

Pile wasn't trying to run it in a browser, was trying to download JRE. It wouldn't work with chrome or Edge.Piledriver wrote:Tunerstudio doesn't run in a browser or use browser plugins...Why does it matter?

Re: tuner studio and windows 10
Chrome or Edge wouldn't allow you to simply download the JRE from Oracle???
...or just wouldn't do anything with it once downloaded?
You might want to install 7zip...

Re: tuner studio and windows 10
Be sure of which Java is installed there is a 32bit and a 64bit version and depending on which version of TS and MLV you downloaded you will need one or the other or both.

I just went and purchased the full vershions they are not expensive and its not worth fighting with missing features beside it supports the developer.Passatman wrote:Guys which of the versions of megalog viewer did you get the premium or the lite version. Can the premium work with MS3x ECUs.
