Confused on choosing TB for 1915 engine
A friend sold me his MS3 for cheap, so I'm now on doing FI route. On selecting throttle bodies, should CB's 40mm TB be enough? But which one? TB with injector ports or with none?
Also, if you have better TB in mind, would love to hear them.

Re: Confused on choosing TB for 1915 engine
so you need to mount the injectors somewhere, if you went with the NONE option above, you would EFI manifolds to mount the injectors there....
if you already have twin carb manifolds, and linkage ect it would be cheaper doing it this way and having the injectors in the TBs.
OR
go single TB and EFI end castings, depends what you want from it.
what are you power goals, and future plans?

Thank you for the clarification. I was confused when I noticed CB is also selling manifolds with injection ports. Idk how much power the motor has. It's a 1915, w120 cam and a Panchito heads. Are CB's 40mm TB too big for my use? What other ITB's do you suggest, and where to buy them?

Packaging, what do you want? A single is less hassle than linkage, but you also have a fairly big camshaft that might be best with IR.
Of course if you force feeding air into a single seems to nullify most concerns.

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

Well then the sky is the limit, plenty of choices. IDF patterned are by far the most common with lots of choices most hold the injectors in the throttle body, a few have them in them in manifold holding injectors (this decision may be made for you if you don't have the room).
Take a look at https://vwspeedshop.com/home.php?cat=395
Personally I like the SP1 as it looks the most compact but not really true IR, the IDF/IDA style are more popular.
I've heard the CB stuff isn't bad but there are lots of other players, Jenvey, Weber, you really need to figure out what you want before asking vague questions.

Individual runner, means you have a single throttle plate per cylinder

Your motor would make about 130hp at the flywheel on my dyno and a set of 36mm IDF throttles will flow over 150hp so I'd use a set of those for best driveability. They are available with inside mount injectors which makes install easier in a bug

Do you have any leads where to buy 36mm IDF throttle bodies?

I'm sure Paul would gladly sell you one of his sets. They are very nice. I've handled some of them recently. Vwspeedshop.com

Already checked his site, and the smallest throttle body he has is 38mm.

Re: Confused on choosing TB for 1915 engine
Email him via his website and he gets back to you quickly, He recently sorted me out with some SP1 manifolds (no throttle plates in) and ducting to a billet single TB.
Couldn't be happier, the TB is a thing of beauty, and the manifolds are well built and plenty of room for any ports you want, service was great.
but i wanted single TB as i want to go turbo....
but theres alot of different options about and its just personal preference really if you went with VWSPEEDSHOP you wouldn't be disappointed

I don't have the 36mm listed at the moment but they look like this
I use a return spring like the orginal Solex on each side for better return
These are inside mount injector with stainless fuel rail
