Cam Sensor position for sequential fuel injection
Currently building a 2.7ltr. type IV engine with crank fire ignition and sequential fuel injection for a 356 Porsche "Outlaw". What angle should I put the cam sensor for sequential fuel injection? I'm using a 60-2 timing wheel for the ignition, and a Toyota sensor on the cam gear for the home event. I know it should be on the compression stroke but I can't find any information as to what angle or degrees it should be before TDC. Any help would be appreciated. Moss64C

Re: Cam Sensor position for sequential fuel injection
Dangerously assuming you are using MS2 or MS3, it doesn't really matter much.
(you really should specify system, this is the general fuel injection forum, MS has its own area)
<= 90 btdc is probably easier to wrap your head around//visualize, but if there are actual limit's in the FW, I haven't found them.
TS may provide some useful info if you try inputting a rediculous number.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Re: Cam Sensor position for sequential fuel injection
I'm using a Haltech Sprint 500 management system with individual coils. I originally set the engine up with the cam sensor at TDC., thinking it needed to know when the #1 cylinder was at TDC. This confused the computer and fired the engine 360 out. I switched the 1 and 3 coil wires along with 2 and 4 and got the engine running, but not correctly. I'm on a steeeep learning curve.... This may be of more use then...
Is for 60-2+1, basic explanation of the "home" signal position.
