Fuel Injector Number Confusion and Injector Sizing

Post by baz_d69 »

I've got 0280150363 code Bosch Injectors, as on the pic below:

However, the smaller numbers which are visible on the injectors do not match, as you can see one has 669 and 060, the other 090 and 957. Does anyone know what those 3 digit numbers are for and if it matters whether they match or not?

Also, those Fuel Injector come up as 638 cc/min @ 3 bar (57.1lbs/hr @ 43.5 PSi), I did a quick calculation of Injector size required at http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx?Use ... 3So1mlj2hP and it came up with a figure of 36.9lbs/hr for my application. Would the injectors I have run fine or are they far too big?

The engine spec is a 2109 (94x76), scat c35, steve tims stage 1 heads (043's) with 42x37 valves, CB Performance Quicktune EFI with a hideaway turbo setup and MSD 6BTM/MSD Dizzy for ignition. I've used 200bhp as my target for the Injector calculation, I hope that's not too ambitious, I'm aiming to use no more than 10-12 psi of boost. Given the cam, I hope for max power to be at around 5.5k rpm. I've got some turbo queries too, but I'll leave them for the forced induction forum.

Cheers for any help in advance!

I'm not sure what those three digits are for (maybe manuf batch numbers?), but as long as the regular PN is the same, I'd run them. I personally don't think they will be too big either. Should work fine.
