No, this is well enough :)

Nice! Makita is good stuff.
Mine are both still air powered.

I have 2 dead air powered die grinders-they are noisy, they lack torque and cold - small and light is their only saving grace.
That thing is like a hand held milling machine but does require both hands

That Series 10 looks good and similar to the Makita but we can't get them over here and we're on 240volt
Just out of interest how much is the Series 10 in USA ?

Fitted some to a pretty basic 2276cc
Ended up at just over 240 hp at the wheels with belt

Yes it's much simpler and neater to pipe them up.
We removed a set of 48idf tb's with cast ally pressure caps with stainless cross pipe and saved 4.5kg in weight

Those pipes were still red hot when you shut it off.

Shouldn't you do a cool down on it to keep from cooking the turbo oil???

Takes more than a short run like than to coke oil, you have to get the whole snail cooking red.

Like Miniman says there isn't time for the CHRA to get get hot enough to burn the oil.
That power run in 3rd gear was about 20 seconds which you'd never see in the real world
unless you have some very steep hills to play on. The car should run low elevens all day long

Excellent Paul!

My car is loaded on the trailer ready for a dance with the Dynapacks tomorrow. I have booked the whole day to play with your new intake manifolds and my DTA. I plan to first do some runs without the intercooler just to see if they will give me any improvements over the original (welded and ported) VW manifolds I used earlier. After that I will add the intercooler and take it from there.
My first experiense with your manifolds is that I had problems leaning the AF out enough to make it idle. Huge injectors is a part of the reason but I did not have the same issues with the vw manifolds with the same injectors. This tell me that the much improved injector angle toward the intake valve is the reason. Also when I give it throttle it will lean out and this tell me that the new intake design is flowing more air compared to my old design.

I will you guys updated.

Thank you Kalle
Glynns engine has the 60lb Siemens injectors inboard and I haven't had time to carry out any testing on injector positions on my test engine yet but hopefully soon.
The only small issue I had with the 58's was getting an ultra smooth idle but this was solved by putting a 1/2" balance pipe
between the two sides which is recommended anyway.

Paul,

My 1192cc with Pauter K8-ish cam idled fine on the 60lbs Siemens injectors even without balance pipe and the 51mm TB's.
Unfortunately, the rear main bearing seized at 6K rpm and 15 psi, so I have now abandoned the 1200 Challenge and revert back to a type 4 build.

The cleanliness of the design was a very nice added bonus though!
