Hello, I have read through all of this and there is a lot more to injection than I initially thought.

Its somewhat baffled me but I am starting to understand the basics.

I am getting a Type 4 engine, which will be around 2.9 Liter in a couple of months(deposit is down) and I was going to Carb it, but the cost of BIG carbs is mental.

I was looking to run around a 130 cam on it, What would be the most ideal injection system for me, that will be cost effective?

You can roll your own using bike ITBs, bit of work but they lend themselves to a cable pull linkage well as thats what they come with on bikes.

I have a set of 42mm ITBs off a Yamaha jet ski, only 60mm tall, flanged, modded some IDF manifolds so they bolt on. They probably would flow more air than any carb with 42mm vents (IDAs etc) but larger exist.

There are also a lot of 48mm Weber style CB ITBs around that folk sell as they are too large to be drivable on mere mortal motors... on a 2.9 they might actually work OK.

You have head$$$$ for that?

WoW. Back from a long ride.

Good to see the same old crowd providing saged wisdom here.
