Hyfire 6 AL and boost retard

hi there,
I'm currently running a 1699 turbo engine in my '70 bug. I'm almost on the stock side for the ignition : I use a pertronix ignitor 2 distributor which I took from my old 1584 N/A engine and home made shorter tabs to reduce the centrifugal advance timing.
I'd like to use some kind of boost retard system. Would it be compatible with a Mallory 6 AL (with a retard box and MAP sensor), or the 6 AL won't be able to do this?
