Some of you might notice i have started a lot of threads, thats just because I love all of yen's.
When I get my bug project under way I will have lots of current coming off of my battery so i was wondering if you could install 2 generator/altenator (or what ever they have) so that doubble the power could be obtained. I saw a picture in this months dune buggys and HOT VWs and i was wondering how one would go about doing this. i didnt know if you could just bolt one on or if special metal work would be needed.
I also had a thought about usin the reveloution of the axle to turn a generator to power some of my creature comforts.

There's a company called Kymco that makes a 75 amp alternator. I've also heard that someone (don't know who) makes a 120 amp version.
Kymco can be fount at: http://www.kymcovw.com
Remember that generating power draws power off the engine so you may also need a larger engine.

If you do go for the Kymco alt. then you will want to get a spacer for your carb if you're still runnign a stock tpe carb. If not you won't be able to open throttle at all. I know because I ran into this problem today and had to have somebody mill me an inch spacer on the fly.
