have a thing and pulled the fenders to paint, after reassembly the headlights do not work and the bleakers only work woth the headlights off. Any suggestions would be helpful.

VW factory wiring diagram. You can find it free on the samba. Make sure your grounds are functional. Painter paint everything it is thier job
