In my '72 bug, dash. I have the square plastic box that has the brake warning light in it and another hole right next to the warning light. What goes in that other hole????
My other question is: Is there a light that goes inside of the emergency flasher knob?

That's where the control switch goes for the ventilation fan (if equipped). Standard Beetles without the vent fan should have a black plastic plug in the hole.

The bulb inside the hazard switch is a sub-miniature wedge ("grain of wheat") #2721. #2723 is the same size but brighter.

Bummer, I don't have to worry about the blower hardware, but my flasher knob doesn't have a receptacle for the bulb.

Never mind, I can see the contacts way down inside of the knob assy. Now to find some bulbs.

Ha! I found both 2721's and 2723's on the shelf at the local auto parts store. I'm always surprised when I find the right stuff, locally.
