Didn't notice we finally got the road race forum going.
In the process now installing RAT motor in the 914, we run with SCCA vintage class down here in FL.
Doing all new AN lines for fuel, oil & new coolers, pumps, etc so its taking a while.
Gotta make Sebring in September.

I ran a 1:31 at Sebring club course and 1:57 at moroso, this was with my old bone stock 1.7 with 100,000 miles. It amazed me that the motor held together at all after over 8 races and a few missed shifts.
Jake said an old motor like that is so loose an understressed that it can keep on spinning.
From the factory that motor made 80hp so with all the miles and years I figure I had maybe 65hp tops.
The new motor and other improvements (50 - 75 lbs less weight) should drop my lap times a bit.
BTW. the 1:57 at moroso put me in the top 1/3 of the rungroup. I'm thinking a position in the top 3 is very possible now.
