Pretty much all major production vehicles will be plumbed like that. Maybe the american market is different but certain the vast majority of european + japanese manufacturers have run like that for a long time, probably early 70's onwards.
Most stuff that's <10 years old will run the brake balance through the ABS and stability control systems these days. Which means they can get it right far more often than a set bias can, even with a prop. valve.
