Shock valving bible and dyno charts (Ohlins supplied)

Post by Piledriver »

Edited the thread name to reflect contents better.

I wish every shock manufacturer posted info like this...
http://www.resuspension.com/assets/Ohli ... 20Book.pdf
Sadly doesn't cover ring shims and bypass shims etc, but its comprehensive otherwise.
(EDIT:It actually DOES cover ring shims usage well, missed that on the first scan through)

Is there a document for the various FOX or Bilstein shock pistons and std shim stacks like Ohlins publishes?
Seems a very sensible way for racers to see what they are ordering.

Its too bad Ohlins parts cost like jewellery, but its likely a "you get what you pay for" situation.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Everything you ever wanted to know about valving shocks but didn't know where to even begin:
It nominally covers a specific uber top end shock but if you read through it, it's basically ~a "Shocks 301-302" course..
