The trans is set up with
3.44rp
3.78

.89

I will be using a 205/60/15 or a 225/35/17. The 2276 is 9.5/1 fk8 fully ported 42/37.5 with big beefs 48idfs and a1 sidewinder 1 3/4 with race bullet

Can anyone give input on the 3.44 rp with this er up as a dd

It really depends on what your goals are for the car and what you're wanting to do. The factory rated these to run 4k rpm's on the highway to get max speed. These motors need rpm's for the cooling fan to cool the motor.

If you want higher cruising speeds at lower rpm's and slower acceleration from the motor, the 3.44 will suit you fine.

Stock you would have a 4.12 ring and pinion and a 1.26 third, that would give you a lot more acceleration where it will drive like a big hp car.

Might check out carb and exhaust size for that motor as well.

Hi Im running a 2276cc motor in an 1956 oval. i'm running 26 inch rear tyres.

I built a box with 3.78,2.06.1.48,1.00 1st to 4th with a 3.44 ring and pinion and I love it I get the benefit of a close ratio box with the 4th gear similar to a freeway flyer. It pulls long and strong through 1st and 2nd... just love it
