There's now a new, superior quality, special-ratio gear available for waterboxer transaxles (091/1, 094, 094/4WD).
Rancho, Arizona Trans, German Transaxle will all be offering these for higher end builds.

Here in Australia, Albins rarely stock the overdrive ratios,(0.928 was the tallest they had recently)
and Weddle's cost, including the splined 'floating' cone, is not much different to yours.
I think the price is excellent considering the improved noise quality and life expectancy!
