3100-3200 @80 should be about right, it'll have an 88x76 motor that should pull from ~2000. Don't want to go too wide of a spread from 3rd to 4th, though, for climbing the passes so no ~.7 4th.I possess a Berg late mainshaft converted to keyed 3/4 but it's in a 4.375 box that has nothing wrong with it. I have another good 4.375 box with a .82 4th but IIRC it's early style. Just as soon not take either one apart to scrounge parts.
I could do this quick & dirty by flipping the ring and changing 4th on a c1971 trans, does anyone have a .82 w/decent synchro hub to sell me? Needs to come to 98028.
