3x3 Trailing arms

Post by u122423 »

Hey everyone, new to this site. I have a few questions on my new rear suspension. I have built many sand rails over the years but I have never really messed with the rear torsion. I am removing a car IRS trans ,installing a 6rib for a ecotec swap . I bought a 3x3 kit from appletree ,the kit looks to be a nice kit. I have a IRS torsion. I removed my stock arms and took the tension off my torsion arms, I checked the angle one as 15 degrees and one was 20 degrees I installed new bushings and set bot arms to 22 degrees. My questions are there are only 2 holes in the arms to bolt to the spring plates, do I need to drill out to add the 2 bolts that were on my stock set up? Also I may be missing something but do I have to redo my rear shock set up? I was running regular coil overs bolted to the stock locations. It is quite obvious they will not fit there any longer. Appletree did send me new shock bosses . Any ideas on mounting would be great.

Thanks

Yes, you should add at least 1 bolt after you align trailing arms.
