welded engagement teeth

hallo, about the welding of the 3rd/4th engagement teeth, are the 002 brazed ones comparable in strenght to the 113 tig welded?

In a press, the brazed cones can be popped off the gear. Obviously not "as strong", but rarely (if ever) come loose on their own.

I've tried a few times to press off the brazed synchro cones. 12T is not enough.

Note, there are a lot of gears out there where the factory didn't braze the cones on properly. This is usually 3rd gear. If you see one of these gears, it doesn't mean the process is unsuitable for the job. It was a flaw in manufacturing.

i tried with some, and i popped off some tooths...

Popping the cone off requires using a perfectly machined steel pipe, which supports all teeth equally (and a 20T press).
