The pyramid case is my favorite, too. The material seems consistent on these, whereas some of the 091 cases seem soft. But the mixing of reverse idlers & idler shafts can be tricky, so usually easiest to stay with 091 case when using 091 gears/sleeves. Half the time, main cases require resleeving.

There are 2 (at least) differences between 6 rib cases. One has wider ribs on top and should be stronger.

long time no update .
been busy building a new engine after a rodbolt failure..
but before the disaster i got 3-4 runs and the tranny seemed to work good but did not get any good times before i got a big opening in my crankcase

so got the new engine ready for the last race this season ,last weekend @ kjula Dragway Sweden
And the tranny works SO much better with the slick shift and other mod's!
The engine performed well also , and managed a couple of very good runs with my split bus
12.19@187 km/h and PB 11.92@187.89km/h :D
there is more in it, by harder launches etc .but the the racing was over for my class
can't wait until nexy season :P
so thx once again for the advice and help!

Excellent. Thanks for the feedback. Drag busses are certainly spectator favorites, so please keep us informed of your improved times.

Have you spoken to Weddle about the bad fitting? I thougt that Weddle was a company that took quality serious and checked carefully every part before shipping to customers. What is your explanition to the bad fitting? Wrong part or bad processing?

I teard down my gerabox today and it was the same for me. I could place the hub on the shaft by hand with a slight pressure. I have e-malied Weddle about this and i will come back to you when i got a answer.

This is the answer i got from Weddle.

It should be no problem at all. A lot of gearboxes have slip fit spline parts. Both pieces are hardened so they will not really wear. As long as there is little or no play, we would have no problem running it that way.
