Because it's really hard to find an "original" torque gauge vw547, what tool do you use as replacement ?

Any 0-30 in/lb torque wrench with memory dial. The 547 is overrated.

Thx Pablo, so the handle of a classic torque wrench isn't a problem to turn ?

No .. Because we're only dealing in 30 in-lbs max, it's easy to keep the beam in motion for a few turns.
To backstep on my previous post a bit .. the memory dial isn't important, but a large dial that can be read while in motion is important.
The memory isn't even applicable for that operation, as it would give a misreading. Only an in-motion reading is good.
I recently did a comparison between the 547 and a regular beam shape gauge, and found the 547 to be less accurate. The internal spring-loaded action causes spikes in the readings.

yeap when I said classic torque wrench I mean the wrench you show in your photo, with the good range of course and not a "clic" wrench.
So if you turn too rapidly or with acceleration cause misreading no ?
