Reverse idler gears

The latest order from my supplier had this reverse idler gear on the left:

I didn't think much about it until I installed it and noticed that the counterbore will allow you to set the engagement of reverse deeper into the slider. I like that.
Here's how much further I set the last one:

I crunched the pivot bracket to remove all slop in the shuttle, and clearanced the 2nd gear side of the reverse gear.
You can angle the shuttle axle to bring the shuttle to both the fork and cross lever for almost no side play. These parts do not rotate and they sit around most of the time. If you look at the shuttle, it is aone-way install with the chamfered edges going inward. Polish the radii and it will not jam at zero clearance. If you need to give reverse some room, I took it at the engagement with the operating sleeve teeth.
