New engine showed up the day after thanksgiving and all of the holes were eithor taped or pluged except the spark plug holes. New heads are the CB o44s with the small plugs.
Hmm I thought standing there scratching my head. Looking around the shop (no spark plugs for the holes yet) I have some of them tapered type ear plugs and well gosh darn what do ya know, they fit without falling in. They also work on std heads but a little loose.
Just thought I would pass this along for food for thought.

My head must not be standard size, because they're a nice snug fit on me - not loose at all.mudman wrote:New engine showed up the day after thanksgiving and all of the holes were eithor taped or pluged except the spark plug holes. New heads are the CB o44s with the small plugs.

I don't think it's a good idea to scratch your heads, though; I'm not an expert on engine rebuilding, but I'm feel pretty certain that's a bad idea.
