Aluminum weld destructive testing??

Since I have had a lot of eye surgery and the off-the-rack "readers" are not custom to everyone's' eye spread I finally bit the bullet and had my optician make me some wraparound safety glasses (existing but not cheap in themselves as they are [fairly] scratch resistant) with reading (half glasses) lenses ground in. They got them a bit high for some things but just right for other things like welding. It was not cheap (~ $200) but I think I am able to do things better with my two (?) eyes working together at the same, so-to-speak, level.
