12mm CHT probes

Post by HotStreetVw »

Can anyone suggest a 12mm sparkplug probe? I would like to run the MICRO 1000 CHT gauge, but it looks like they only offer the probes in 10, 14mm sizes.

Whats the best alternative or method to run the CHT for a 12mm plug.

Ive been looking at aircraft spruce, so a link would be nice.

Thanks
Will

I'm making up a "how to" on changing the VDO TC from 14mm ring to 12mm ring. The same procedure will "probably" work for you.

Or order here:

Thanks Steve and Jake. I ordered a Westach gauge and two 12mm probes this evening.

Speaking of Westtach.
Is it correct that their plug temp sensors do not work with Autometer head temp gauges ?
I seem to get "full sweep" when I hook those up to the gauge. - Or am I doing sumptin wrong. ?

Is it just coincidence, or is this the same company that supplies VDO with their CHT gauge?

Except for the housing it Looks Like the same gauge!

Looks like THEY modified a VDO gauge... The "Mitchell" looks like a decal... I bet under that it says VDO.
