I have recently sanded down my entire car and have the first layer of a filler/sandable primer on it. Before I primed it It looked slick as a babies rear end. Now that I primed it I see every inperfection. Nothing huge. I was wondering if that is normal and wanted to know what I should do. I put a second coat on the fender and it looks better. Will it continue to look better after several coats of the primer?
High-build sandable primer will fill some imperfections, but to really do it up, put a sprinkle coat of cheap black paint on it, and then block sand it. Wherever cheap black paint remains are low spots, and you need to fill them.
I will give that a shot. I am amazed at my progress. It is really cool to see something coming together that you work on. I am just taking my time and getting everything straight.
