Need Rocker Panel measurements!!!

Post by BAJA-IT »

I am replacing the rocker panel/heater channel in my son's '72 Beetle that was hit on the right hand side, this was before he owned the car, and I need to know what the measurement is from the inside to inside of the heater channels at the base of the b pillers. The front and rear quarter panels were both pushed in aswell and will be replaced, so I need this measurement to make sure the car stays square. The heater channel is already removed from the car and I am ready to install the new one, but the front quarter is pushing the back of the rocker towards the center of the car, and I'm not sure where it should be. I had to cut the lower part of the rear quarter off to get the rocker panel out. Any help would be great.

Thanx,
Cameron

Nobody has or knows what it should be? I would hate to guess and get it wrong. Somebody must have a body off the pan that can measure this for me.

Put the heater channel on the pan and put some bolts in it so its bolts to the pan. Set the body onto it and everything will line up.
