I pick up the lathe Monday, YIPPIE, I can finally make some of
these $$$ parts instead of buying them!!

There is a reason flat black epoxy is popular with rat rodders...
It shows nothing.
(or perhaps it shows you don't care  )

We probably won't be hearing much from Don once he gets his mill and lathe set up.
Hell be too busy making chips.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

It's 11!

New motorised mill, not CNC, but a step in the RIGHT direction!

I bought this of of TheSamba and couldn't use it because all three ears were bent and
one of the seats was cut lower than the other. After planing it and plunge cutting the seat,
it is now usable! :)

I won't say who sold me the POS........ >|-(

More work on the Bug!
insulated.JPG
Made the fillers below the brace and covered with unused rear carpet from my TIM carpet kit.
I wasn't impressed with their kit....... :(

Got rid of an old entertainment center by using the wood for the back *area*, no seats!
Speaker installation next, then covering with carpet. German square weave matching the TMI
scheisse...

The 69(one owner, 36,674 kms) took up a lot of time, since I replaced the front beam
with a new one and did a tank clean and carb and pump rebuild on it...

OK, just to let you guys know what NOT to do:

Don't paint at 85% humidity...
Don't paint at less than 65F...
Don't use a 2 gallon compressor, and last but not LEAST!
DON'T get in a HURRY!

Yes, I'm impatient and it cost me another week of spare time sanding
and another 200EURO($280)....

I have 2 2gal compressors and hooked them up in series, hoping the second one
would act as a water trap(it was turned off), I also had a real water trap after
the second one.....I'll never learn.

Metallic was laying down nicely till I got to the back and driver's rear quarter and the
gun started shooting water BAD!

I'm happy to show MY FAILURES, to keep YOU from having the same ones!
