Who's floorpans to use?

Post by 63VWRagtop »

OK - my 63 rag is all stripped down and ready for floorpans before it goes to blast and powder coating. My question is who's pan is considered the best product? I was assuming the Wolfsburg West products would be spot on but saw some threads about the seat tracks being somewhat problematic.

I also see a large discrepency in price - JBugs is almost 1/2 the price of Wolfsburg. Any opinions from folks who've done floor pans would be very much appreciated. (I'll probably have the same question for the heater channels, fenders, etc...)

It's more the country of origin vs the manufacturer.

Itallian and German tend to be the thicker.

Danish is 2nd..

Brazillian and Mexican are 3rd.

Basic hint is that the thicker ones note the metal guage in thier write up.

Basic hint 2 is that if it's too cheap to be true they're thin.

Most catalog houses sell multiple quality points.

I've used both successfully - for cars I care about, I use OEM (used) or very thick ones.

Please post back with what you've come up with
