Decided to go watercooled.
Up for sale....A fresh 2276 with CB Performance EFI (older version w/ knob tuning) Built 4 years ago, but never even been started $4500
Being listed complete with cooler and lines....In a few weeks, I will raid it of all of the AN stuff... at that point I may just part it all out.
Motor was gone through by Jerry at NW Connecting Rod in Seattle,WA
The story as I told it in another thread...
I bought the motor off of craigslist....love it when they start like that.... 50/50 shot of it being a good story.
Supposedly it had been run only a few times. 20-35hours. It was in a sandrail owned by an older gentleman. He had just swapped it out for a water cooled motor...imagine that. It had a set of Webbers on it and had been built and tuned by some "Ricky Racer" dude outa Portland. Well I got it home and bolted to the back of my Baja. Fired it up and it was running so rich that I had raw fuel dripping off the garage door in about 30 seconds. The motor just didn't sound healthy either and not just the carburetors. So the motor came back off the carbs went on eBay and the motor went to Jerry at N.W. Connecting Rod, probably one of the best in the Seattle area for the VW's. Jerry opened the thing up, and the way he described it was... "Well, Nothing but the best parts in there....but whoever put it all together had no business building motors."
10-1 compression ratio. Rocker arm geometry was way off and it had taken out the valve guides pretty good. Moly spring retainers on one head and ? ones on the other. The material that had been removed from the pistons during balancing was a bit on the rough side. You get the idea.
It's been a while and my notes are a little sketchy. I probably have some old emails that have info in it as well. But this is what I remember and what the build sheet says.

Re: Fresh 2276 with CB perf EFI
Bump
Need to get it gone and generate some cash for the current project.
I have robbed the AN stuff as well as the alternator, so it is now "mostly complete"
Entertaining offers on any or all. sortblock, longblock, just the heads, EFI only....you get the idea. Possible "sorta-delivery" to SoCal.... have a buddy coming down at spring break to Glamis and Palm Springs.
Not ready to split the case just to sell the internals yet so hold those requests for now.

Now with free delivery to VEGAS Baby.... (Will be down for the MINT400)
Anybody even thinking about this needs to shoot me an offer.
Right now I am thinking $1000 for the EFI set up and $2250 for the Long block (flywheel to crank pulley)
Make Offer on the tins, exhaust header, or ignition.
or 3K for it all the way it sits now with some of the AN stuff left on it....I will get some current pics up soon.
