Machining down lifter bores, how far?

Here's the place for info on converting to a Type V motor!

I forked out for the Berg tool. Will press in the bushes before reaming.

Doesn't the height of the oilholes dictate the amount of material that has to be machined off?
At least that is what i did when i machined my case.

Depends on the lifter type.
Stock hydro lifters have a wide single oil groove.
Most T1 style have the two groove setup.
My Thorsten's have a single groove but considerably less than the Hydro lifter.
I requested my bushings to have enlarged oil holes to compensate.
