Ok, they say the saying goes that there is no such thing as a dumb question so here's mine.
Has anyone or is it possible to use/adapt the type IV cooling fan/housing to the WBX case(oxyboxer configuration)?

Because of the differences in the crankshaft I would guess that type-3 cooling would be quit a bit easier place to start. But far from bolt on.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

One issue is that the WBX uses a "sand seal" type setup like a T4, so one would have to turn down the T3 fan seal area and possibly sleeve it to the right size.
I'm also not sure the WBX case has the mount lugs on it to bolt the fan housing to, will take a look today.

zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
