Ok, I want to use a dressy billet pulley on my wasser.
Sooo... A type 1 pulley like a Jaycee or Saco without the sand seal can be cut down to the OD of the wasser?
Or, is it simple the same size as a type 4?
Pulley confusion.

Re: Pulley confusion.
Whether it is the same size as Type 4 I do not know, but I cut down my CB pulley (#1913) to the same OD as the stock pulley shaft, and the grooves are not deeper that this OD, so you should not need to use a sand seal pulley.

Check the part# on the T4 and wasser seal to be certain
From Bus Boys
vanagon WBX: 025-105-247A
T4: 021-105-247A
One is 6.60, one is 7.70. Memory says they look just about the same but are not quite.
I have slept since I looked closely but remember having some of each and they are not interchangeable.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
