Re: HX35 to big for my WBX 1.9L?
I live in the north of Sweden and this year the family have planed a trip to south of Sweden for a holiday with the caravan. That will be a trip on app. 4000 km back and forth and since that i have 1150 km to Bugrun the holiday trip will be the only trip south this year for me. I would be great fun to meet and have a chat with you sometime. Maybe next year!

Did a short road test today with higher boost pressure. The boost was set to 1.3 bar. The engine felt good and the clutch held up, but the tires spun lose. I have some fuel adjustment left to do, but i feels that i'm on the right track now. Im looking forward to get a 1/4 mile time with this setup.

NICE !
Eftersom jag oxå är från Sverige och dessutom försöker dribbla ihop en turboladdad wasserboxer borde jag kanske kontakta dig på annat vis.
Vad har du gjort med växellåda osv ?

Re: HX35 to big for my WBX 1.9L?
Update!
Finally a got the chance to test the car on the strip. And all the year of testing and developing payed of. 12,29s & 183km/h. With slicks and some more tuning a 11´s trip is possibly.
Im very pleased with the result, concerning the engine and gearbox i basically stock and done with street tyres 215/65-15. "Don't underestimate original parts". So the answer to the titel on this thread "HX35 to big for my WBX 1.9L?". No! Just fine!

Very well done, why would anyone choose a heavy old scooby over a Wasser? Baffles me, Pure VW power every time!

buildabiggerboxer,
I'd say the reason is because of availability of parts, proven reliability and cool factor.
