AA WBX 95,5mm Piston experience

Post by Duus »

Hi

Does anyone have experience with these pistons and liners: http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-BUS-T3-Bulli- ... 3f114b5767

I am looking for pistons for a naturally aspirated WBX. I am aware that the pistons above does not provide enough CR out of the box, but this can be fixed. The question is if the parts are in decent quality and if the pistons will tolerate 6500-7000 rpm redline?

Best regards

I have used many AA WBX piston and cylinder sets. We now check every cylinder for out of round, height and depth of o-ring groove as we have found heights to off a much as .014. Cylinder oversize as much as .003, o-ring groove depth off by .010. Pistons have been pretty good only a few to small. We now buy the sets 3 at a time so we check everything, then match up the cylinders & pistons to make good sets& send the bad ones back to AA. I won't drop ship them any more as to many problems. We offer the service of checking out a set of P&Cs ( for a price) for anyone to make sure they are OK. Once every thing has been sorted out they are a very nice set of P&Cs. Rocky
