It's still a 2.1, but now with:
solid type1 lifters
K8 engle cam
1.4 rockers
chromoly push rods
42x36 Si valves sunk .100
My own seat and port work
No headgaskets approx 9 to1
Engle dual springs
48 Ida carbs
1 5/8 header
lightened stock rods
light pins
It,s running in my buggy now but won't drive it till the airfilters arrive!
Any guesses on HP output (obviously after tuning)

Great work Joe, anothe one up and at em, I have just done a DJ with stock valve sizes, but the full works on the ports/seats/valves, deck at .035, engle 140/1.25 stock valve heights but spring seats cut .045", i haven't been near a dyno, but its spanking 150 hp race cars on 9" slicks, so i recon mines on 170hp with a huge torque figure, its picked up power with the dry sump and electronic cooling, its on dell 45s x 40 chokes, 185 main/190 air, 60 pumps and idles, .5 emulsions. you will have more than that as you can go 44 chokes in the 48 ida's, might not progress too well, but again a buggy is light, it will lift the front with the torque  that exhaust looks the same as mine, bugpack? good gas speed there, it will haul ass, port shape is similar to mine, mine is biased more at the top to try and flow the short side more, the long side is similar to yours to keep the velocity up, chambers look spot on and will flow well with the sunk valves, well done to you, A plus work,,,, do let us know how high the front lifts.

great build! +++++++++ I like this very compact engine. In a buggy you will be changing the exhaust soon... because it wil pop great wheely's

This should help answer your question

Nice work Joe. I've been keeping an eye on your original thread for some sort of update. That looks badass man.
I think you should put it in a full-body beetle (with decklid standoffs) just to see what kind of temps you'd be running
Only kiddin'.... sort of. I'm curious.

Very nice job
