Type3 Crank Pulley Bolt Spec?

Post by PlanB »

Hey All,

Recently had a Type 3 fan pulley bolt come loose and destroy the bolt.

( apparently there are a lot of mis-published low torque specs for this bolt on Type 3's — everyone lists 35ft/lbs and its actually closer to 90? )
While I'm waiting for a new bolt ( they're getting a bit hard to find NOS) I wanted to order a tap to repair the threads on the crank snout.

Wondering if anyone has/knows the thread specs? 18mm? / 19mm? x 1.5? for the Type 3 Crank pulley(s) bolt?

Thanks!

Aircooled.net has the T3 bolts. I had to use one with my Fisher damper pulley.
