heater box swap
Will beetle heater boxes connect to splitty heater tubes or are they different diameters? Adapters? Thanks

The cable hookup was the same on buses through 1967; non-fresh and early freshair boxes had smaller outlets than the `65-`67 kind. At one time you could buy adapter hoses from VW with one big end and one small end, but it's not too difficult to cobble something together in lieu of them.
I don't recall if there are any clearance issues on a bus like there are on a Beetle - freshair boxes are larger at the "head" making it difficult to remove and install the engine in an early car without having at least one box removed.
