can anyone identify these roller tip rockers??

Post by bens collision »

i posted this in the speed & drag racing forum but thought id post here too, just incase ...
i picked these up at the local vw parts store, i dont know anything about them but you can see a 1.52 and i swear it looks like comp cams stamped into them?? ive never run ratio rockers but the most ive seen for vw is 1.4. i was hope someone might have seen these before and even if they havent give me some info on what it takes to run somthing like this and what to expect, if they are 1.52 is it too much, will i loose bottom but gain top end etc etc? they would be going on an turbocharged 1835 in a dune buggy. thanks

they look like Chevy rockers that have been adapted to veedub. I like it. seems like they would be easier to adjust. I can't comment on how it might run.

Any markings on the mounts? Look home made?

If you run those, you will probably need an oil spraybar, as they will not self oil on an ACVW.
(probably won't feed to the tip at all)
Neat idea though.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

In the original app the pushrod runs through a narrow gap...They make adjustable setups.
That locates the rocker. Really.

Comp Cams sb cheby roller tip rockers. 1.52 ration. I've used many of those.
Don't see them working on a VW very well though.
