Wonder Bug?

I'm not a buggy guy (yet) so I have to ask you guys (the Masters) a question...

What was the buggy in the Kroft Supershow segment "Wonderbug" back in the late '70s?

Looks like a empi imp to me from the side pannels, but I am no expert and hardly ever get my guess right.

It's definitely not an EMPI Imp. The front fenders are too flat, the hood is way different. The hood though does remind me a body I once saw, but I don't know the manufacturer.
