hello once again, sorry i haven't been on for quite some time. wow! you guys have been busy! it'll take me some time and mula to catch up. i kinda got caught up in that 2011 joplin,mo. tornado. i lived in duquesne wich is a suburb of joplin. massive destruction. i was fortunate enough to be only on the edge of the twister. the dog and i hid in the floorboard of the 63 falcon in the attached garage, thats my first f5 and hopefully the last and thats the falcons second f5 it's survived (racine,mo.2010- joplin2011). as for the FIERRO, a tree came down on it and loaded the suspension heavvvy! it survived with nothing but a scratch on the deck and two hairline cracks in the windshield, talk about lucky. those cars are strong. don't get me wrong, the full weight of the tree wasn,t on the car, but it was loaded. hopefully now when i "get my ducks in any formation" , i'll get my car started on again. keep the good work up guys. p.s.-looking forward to see the car from Tenn. .

Wow, glad your car made it, could have lost another Fierro; there are only a couple left. I've had mine in storage for the past 4 months so the whole garage would have to collapse to touch it. I'll probably try to sell it here soon.

I was flagging them ~as fast as the bot was posting them, I usually check in in the in the wee hours.

Unfortunately we cannot do anything more about it in most forums other than our own, yet.
(It is being worked on)

I suspect Doc's on vacation for a few days, he's usually all over these idiot spammers.
AFAIK he is currently the only one who can delete the user and all posts.

It's best not to reply to them, makes deleting the posts seamlessly easier.

Did some googling on "Joe Fierro" and came across this thread, very interesting. I know Joe from the very early days, just when he got his original prototype running. I did the electrical system on the car and on about four or five others as part of his production. Does anyone know what happened to the original car? I also helped out on his later production and with some marketing. It really was a strong and intelligently engineered car.

Hi "fierro friend", I think I remember you from when you worked on his car at the shop, weren't you an ex Navy man?

Joe was an amazing guy, I learned a lot from him.

Congradulations Mike on your purchase. At last count there were a total of 7 up and running. Yours in AZ (previously in OR), Darrel's in MD, Joe Fierro Jr's two in So. CA, mine in Visalia, CA, the grey one in Nevada. and one other one at unknown location. I have pictures on the web site of many of the cars - www.BandBCustoms.com. The headlights, doors and windshield are Ford Pinto. The taillights are Nissan 280 ZX. Rear hatch is Chevy Vega. I also have the printouts of the body parts to assemble the kit.

I recently purchased one here in Springfield, MO. Not sure where it fits into the count. It needs a total restoration but appears to be mostly there minus an engine. so any and all input advice will be greatly appreciated. Will post some pics as soon as I figure out how

Hi All, just finishing-up my Fierro 600, (yellow). Bought this at a Towing Co Auction, without actually knowing what it was? After some Craigslist Posting, someone finally informed me as to what this is, although mine is slightly different from all shown on "Google", with the Rear End looking more like a 80's Corvette, (with Twin Corvette Taillights), rather than the Datsun Nissan Taillights? After much research I can see that the front 3/4's of the car was styled after a Porsche 904, but the Rear end certainly was not. So, I decided to "Restyle" the rear to more closely resemble the Porsche 904. My car is actually based on a Type 3 VW, not a beetle as suggested on the google Fierro 600 sites. As Purchased, this car had a VW 1600 engine, missing a couple parts and after getting it running, decided that the VW Power Plant was not for me. After much research, I sourced a 69' 911T Engine, rebuilt it with "E" Cams and after repainting, is now installed. We are waiting for the weather to clear and should be rolling it out for running/ driving for the first time. Bob Lesher in Astoria Oregon.
