VW Woodie Kit

Post by barkpark »

I am purchasing a 67 with a Woodie kit on it. Has anyone built one of these and can you tell me something about them. I can send pics if you write to me at [email protected] I want to put a 40's type front on it and I am looking for that too. I have seen pictures of some very nice vw woodies and mine seems to be missing part of the lower rear area. Also I have heard the overheating is a problem. What have you done to solve this issue. Thank You, Bruce Morrison, Baltimore, Maryland

overheating is an issue with this car... big issue... since this is a custom car there is no single answer to help you...

Front hoods come and go on the forum classifieds.. be patient, you'll find one... just ensure you have the metal to go with them.

You just need to get cool air to the motor --- scoops on either side like the VW bus had would work fine. An external oil cooler with a thermostat and electric fan would also aid in cooling --- could be placed over transmission or in a wheel well (if protected).
