Howdy.
Starting about a year ago, I was asked to help liquidate a private VW yard condition.
WHY===
The owner of the yard is sick. He wants to see that the cars go to a good home and not crushed.
WHAT'S AVAILABLE====
There's a variety of Type 1, 2, and 3.... Bay window Busses to Splitties
-Rabbits
-Fast Backs
-Bugs
-Bay Busses
-Split Busses
-Bradley GT
-60s Porsche 912
-Parts
The seller doesn't mind if the cars are parted on his property then crushed etc.
PHOTOS====
Some initial photos are posted at

LOCATION===
The car lot is located in Western Wisconsin. Due to circumstances the family has asked that NO tire kickers are allowed.
WHAT's WORTH the TIME====
There are some things that caught my eye.
-Splittie Single Cab
-Porsche 912
-Bradley GT Parts
-There's a Car in the 2 Type 3s
-Bug Dashes
-Superior Turtle Back Rims
-Rabbit Parts & Project Cars
-Engines & Trannies
-Rare Parts
The owner is a former VW corporate mechanic. He knows exact parts and how to interchange -- VERY smart guy. VERY willing to Coach.
RULES===
Because of their situation, I'd like to keep communication with them to every couple of weeks. They are smart enough to be offended by bogus requests "I'd like ALL of the hinges from the Splittie Single Cab --- Please ship them to Thailand for my $3 offer."
They aren't unreasonable and understand what's acceptable. "I'd like the front end off the pink split transporter... $100+shipping would probably work."
If I'm removing parts for you, I'd need some time to do do the work and may ask a donation for the gas money & tools.
PRICING===
The seller is out out of touch with current pricing. His ambition is to get them to homes and out of his yard. I'll work with anyone to get good deals on the items and help get them shipped.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
The part of VWs I'm the most interested in is the interchageability and the swapping. I'm cherry picking through to complete some cars in our collection. There are some rare things (VWoA Hitch Assemblies, Bud Vases, 6 rib trannies, 67 swing trannies, etc). I'd rather take some time and help my VW Karma than see them smashed for scrap metal.
Being around the project helps me spend time with the man in charge. He was a full-time crew chief for Baja 500 style races for 13 years... then went onto being a factory service manager during the late 60s to 70s. I can ask him things like "When you were doing warranty claims, what cases failed the most" He'll reply "Start with an AB Case... have the journals machined.... and use the heads from 1965... then use a Holley Bug spray and use the jets from a 1964 Alpha Romero kit... tap them out to 6mm and You'll never touch the engine again."
CONTACT===
The seller doesn't do email. I've volunteered to help him out with the facilitating. Contact me via the PM button. I'll do my best to communicate and move these things out.
