I would say off to the passenger side, take up some of that open space. Plus if you had it on the driver's side you might RIP it off when you pull the front wheels up.... you don't want that;)

Good advice!

My non-car-guys friends suggested to leave the "twister" muffler out and just run a 90° off the turbo.

Im just a litrle worries about how loud its gonna be....

Still meant to be a street car.

I'm sure it will still be loud with a muffler. That is one wild looking muffler I must say:)

The top one looks better and as was said, the bottom one is too close to the ground.

One other thing, point the tip down more... doing so should soften the sound others hear rather than making a many state broadcast of its music

I don't like the twister personally, but aside of that, I agree with Ol'fogasaurus.

I loved the sound of mine with a 3" 90° bend off the turbo. Sounded tough!

Unless you are doing abouit 200 MPH (not sure what that is metrically) where the wind gets that noisy you will still hear the exhaust noise   !!!!!!! Remember, in an open car the wind will go around the windshield then curl back and blow you wig into the windshield... it also brings all kinds of noises besides the wind noise with it too

I have a blue buggy besides the black one I am working on. This is before I made it off-road/sand only.

No, I'd keep it mounted more or less horizontal with the tip at least facing ~45° down. Any more rotation down and you might start blowing dust and gravel around  .

On the Oregon dunes the noise got so bad and so many complaints from locals, some of them were located quite away from the dunes, that the state/feds limited the exhaust sound of buggies and rails to 93 decibels or less.

Thanks for the opinions.

This is the new position:

Do you think the wastegate would be to close to the turbo? Heat?

I knew that Coke was strong but not that strong  ! I might have to stop drinking it.... NOT! Bwahahahah

Things are looking good; keep at it as we are waiting for a finished product not like my 20+ years on a build.
