Looks like it was the distributor, cap or rota that was at fault. Plus one and four was firing at the same time and every now and then plug three would fire the same time as plug one and would basically lock the engine with an grinding noise. New locked 009 distributor fitted and the CB performance black box is much happier and the timing using the gun is now rock solid, just hope I've not damaged the engine?

checked out a swap meet yesterday and the only Holley carb was a 750 cfm ,, too big for you

How are you pricing that up?

the ECU would be the biggest outlay, then stick up a wanted on VZI for the manifolds ect, get a bosch fuel pump out of a volvo, an OEM FPR.
are you talking ready to go all new setup?
there's cheaper ways to get started on EFI, i made my own manifolds from steel tube and used GSXR ITBS but i hear the VFR ones pretty much fit IDF intakes, even if your just using those as injector holders and go single TB....

i paid £80 for my MS1 v2.2 (was a steal though!!)
£60 i think for the ITBs with TPS and injectors and fuel rail.
£30 i think FPR
£20 used fuel pump
£30 for enough 8mm Kunifer pipe for two runs
about £10 for bike cable to make the linkeage
£20 in fuel hose and proper clamps
add about £50 for little faffing bits you forget or so....
oh and i paid £40 for the EDIS setup but if you went scrap yard it would be cheaper!
if you can get the VW manifolds and rails cheap your laughing.

only thing is you really don't see the ECU for sale used much! maybe look at a kit as its cheaper? i'm slowly building up a MS3 to upgrade my MS1

The CB manifolds and fuel rails are the only thing I had to order from the US besides the ECU. I'm a tightwad so I bought the microsquirt. Everything else you can scrounge locally. I did buy a head temp sensor from Mario and a wide band, but I don't think it was that expensive really. I would suggest pricing a kit from Mario though. It will save a lot of bother.

Thats a point, i brought Marios head temp sensor to give me warm up enrichment which is good, it was pretty good price wise to my door if i remember, best email him about it first see what he can do

Would I need to use twin inlet manifolds with an injector for each cylinder or run a single injector body on a stock T piece manifold if that makes sense?

Ok so for $210 plus postage and tax to the UK
I can get the manifolds, fuel rail and fuel rail bracket,
I can use the fuel pump for a Volvo.
I will also need:
Throttle bodies what size, 40mm?
Injectors, what size?
