MS2 is more than enough and cheaper. Don't talk to me about 3.88s. If I'd only done that when I had the trans built. :(

P.s. Roadkill is da' bom!

Well I went to work today to mess with the bug. I have it tuned pretty good but it's still rich at idle. After that the AFR's are pretty good throughout the rest of the range. Also the tach quit working. Turned out the wire had worn through under the car and broke. Fixed that up too.
I am bummed though, today on the PLX, the vacuum only read zero and was blinking. Seems that its jacked. I pulled the power plugs off and put them back in but it didn't help. Hope the boost module isn't fried. It is fed through a common power and common ground on a terminal strip I made up. Everything else works fine still. I pulled the vacuum line off at the module and there is vac there.

Since I jacked up my starter a couple weeks ago I went to the FLAPS and grabbed a new one. $45 for a brand new one? Good thing it has a lifetime warranty!
Still no luck on the PLX boost module though unfortunately.

$45 for a brand new starter is a KILLER deal!

This is a good deal for a nasty chinese unit. A decent one costs double that. :(

Yeah I looked online and the usual vw stores and the were all $150-$250 so I was real surprised to see they were $45. I am only getting right at 12v out of the alternator too so I asked about those too. $70 for a Bosch.

Grrrr! Turns out I reused my 6v flywheel so I got the wrong starter. 6v starter is ordered and will be in at 2:30 tomorrow. I think I'm going to throw it in and bring the car home so I can mess with it here. I live in a very quiet little cul-de-sac, so we will see how this goes! Might have to put a muffler on it!

Also while I had it on the lift I had a look to try to see where I'm leaking oil at. Appears to be running down the cylinders on the block side. Wondering if it could be my cooler leaking down there.

Scratch that. It's leaking down between (actually it looks like around) the cylinder and the head. More on the driver's side than the passenger.

That's going dead rich on the throttle blip there, but yeah, that's a lot of white smoke. Weird.

Yeah it does go rich when it's sitting still. Doesn't do that when I'm driving it though for some reason. Or at least not when I'm moving. I'm going to try to pull the turbo drain tube off today and make sure that's not causing it. My drain is kind of long and runs a little horizontal. I have it running along the intake pipe over to the 1/2 valve cover.
