Petew... 1.5mm = .059" and 1mm = .039". I take it your factory turbo was journal bearing.

No, it's ball bearing.

Oh.. okay, as long as turbo has adequate oil and oil drainage, you should get better spool characteristics instead of too much oil slowing spool and blowing past seals. All depends on each engine's oil pressure, oil volume and engine condition (blow-by).
