Homebuilt water meth kit
Hi guy's, I want to build a water meth kit for my turbo setup on a 2.1 wbx. I want it to be boost activated at around 5 to 6 psi. I'm using T3T4 blowing through twin 40 Dellortos with charge cooler. Any ideas as to what to use and how to test/build would be greatly appreciated,

Re: Homebuilt water meth kit
Do you actually need a water/meth kit at 5/6psi?
What is max boost?

Hi bug66, I'm boosting 10psi, still playing with the idea so I thought if you're going to drag it, it might as well start pumping at about 6 psi and keep going till you reach 10psi or more.

Talk to clonebug on here. He had a pretty simple and effective setup on his buggy.

Re: Homebuilt water meth kit
Most guys around here doing homebuilt meth kits end up blowing their mobile homes sky high..
Do a google search for "hobbs switch" .. some are preset to make a connection at a certain psi, others are adjustable. One of my turbo buick buddies had a similar rig on his car. he was pushing 30psi and 600+ HP. His setup came on at around 15psi with two #10 nozzles. The hobbs switch energized a relay to the pump.
Adjustable Hobbs switch:
Also you will need a pump, tank, nozzle and misc plumbing.. as well as a check valve at the nozzle so it won't drip.
The nozzles are available from McMaster carr here:
http://www.mcmaster.com/#spray-tips/=12kxxml Full cone misting nozzles 1/8npt.
Check valve:
http://www.mcmaster.com/#check-valves/=12ky2q7 Brass check valve 1/8npt.
Sizes are commonly referred to at their 100psi flow rate. I would start with a size #5, or #10 and go up or down from there. Too big will bog the motor hard once it starts spraying.

Those nozzles are rated at gpm which is way too much flow for a W/I system.
I run a 2.0 gph nozzle for my hp rating. I actually have two nozzles now for a combined flow of 3.0 gph.

I don't know but my 32# injectors are maxed out and they support 230 hp at 100% duty cycle. I'm at 95.3 % when I rev to 5800 rpm.bad62bug wrote:About how much HP?Clonebug wrote:Those nozzles are rated at gpm which is way too much flow for a W/I system.

My afr is 12.0:1 at 22lbs boost.
