Re: single hi revs valve springs with turbo
Ended up using my dual springs and shimmed them for lower pressure, thanks for all your input.

valve springs are working great, they are quieter than they used to be too.

Soooo, what are the limits of single stock valve springs with a turbo? Everything is stock except the C25 cam, and it will only rev to 5000'ish rpm.

You'll probably be lucky to get a controlled 5k limit once you throw boost at it.

Re: single hi revs valve springs with turbo
I'm running HD singles up to 5400 rpm and 22 lbs boost at .420" lift.
I haven't noticed any valve float issues in over two years now.

First thing to fail is stock spring clip rocker shafts. Solid shaft spacers fix that. Next thing is stock springs floating. So then if you go to HD singles then your stock pushrods will fail. It is a nice chain of events.kangaboy wrote:Soooo, what are the limits of single stock valve springs with a turbo? Everything is stock except the C25 cam, and it will only rev to 5000'ish rpm.
