I am interested in getting my turbo housing, some surrounding pieces, and my exhaust header ceramic coated to resist the high temperatures. The CoolKrome coating (http://www.calicocoatings.com/coating-d ... c-coating/) is said to resist temperatures of 1300 degrees. The CoolBlack coating (http://www.calicocoatings.com/coating-d ... c-coating/) is said to resist temperatures of 2100 degrees.
I initially wanted to do the header and turbo housing both in the CoolKrome. The associate at the company said they will only do the turbo housing in CoolBlack due to the high temperatures. I am not sure if they are familiar with a VW blow through turbo set up. Do you think that the exhaust header would be less hot, as hot, or hotter than the turbo housing? I do not mind doing the turbo housing in black, but I really want my headers to be the chrome look, and I am concerned if the CoolKrome will hold up.

I'd trust the rep. You want something that will stay on no matter how hot it gets. I've had my header done in flat black ceramic coating.
