Hahaa, indeed!

Its actually much cheaper to take an extra bag of luggage than to pay over 50 $ shipping and 20% import/duty taxes over the value of the package...

Sorry dude. I know your pain. A US$300 header was near on AU$1000 by the time it arrived at my door. I should buy another one while I'm there later this year and put in my suitcase.

Finally got the parts!

Mounted the emulsion tubes, jetting:
air 200
fuel 135
idle 55
36mm vents
33mm mod rings

Put in new sparkplugs, and engine was running on 4 cilinders!

But way to rich! I tried to drive, and it was impossible..

I found out this topic: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php? ... 8056&st=40
So I'am going to check the carb this week.

But still happy I did one good run, before the engine was at good temperature(then it was running way to rich!)
The turbo whistle and BOV maked a nice sound.

Hmm openend up the weber , no strange things, all looks ok. (crap)
I think the gasket from the fuel chamber is to old, so I ordered a rebuild set..

Rebuild the carb, running a bit better now.
I did some checks on the intake mainfold, and its leaking .... so next step to make the flanges 100% straight..

If its alloy,

Take a flat piece of mirrorglass and put some fine sandpaper on it. Then collour the flange where u want to sand it. You will then see where its not perfectly flat.

Gasket paper only works if both surfaces are perfectly flat.

I feel you. I have a PLX wideband and I also bought a boost module to go with it. My boots module stopped reading. Just sits on zero and blinks. Doesn't have 2 miles on it. I need contact them and see if they will warranty it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

If its just the Bosche 4.2 sensor, that happens. 3 years is not uncommon, its a consumable unfortunately. We also abuse those sensors often with our extreme rich conditions at starting and cold runs, when sensor is not fully heated with little chance to burn of residue on longer runs.
If the display is faulty, that would really suck..
